Acetate printing
I wanted to experiment with using acetate to create cyanotype prints as they form a shadow type appearance therefore fitting my project idea. I wanted to see how well different images would work, and if they would work at all. The first image I tested was no converted to greyscale so may not be as successful as the image below that was converted to black and white first.
The chosen images must first be converted to greyscale then inverted in photoshop. this allows better definition of the images, making them more likely to be successful once used in the cyanotype process.​​​​​​​
To print onto acetate (once the image has been converted to greyscale and inverted) the printer settings must be changed in printer options -> paper feed so that the acetate can be fed into the printer through the bypass tray. The option widows for the settings are shown above.
